International Calling from Stateside

With T-Mobile Stateside International, you can call other countries while inside the United States. ( Learn more ):

  • There is a cost to call overseas, which can vary per country .
  • The plan provides a discounted rate per minute; unlimited free long-distance plans do not exist.
  • You will need to dial the country code when making a call.
  • When calling some countries, you may hear an automated message prompting you to enter a random digit between 0 and 9 to complete the call. This extra step is designed to help prevent fraud, and is only needed when calling specific international locations.
  • If you plan to consistently make international calls from the United States, consider adding the Stateside International Talk feature. For an additional $15.00 per month, you will receive discounted pricing for international calls. For example, calls to Egypt normally cost $3.00 per minute*, but only cost $0.30 per minute* with this feature. Again, call pricing varies per country.

* Prices effective as of September 2024.

Calling and Using Data While Travelling Internationally

The Simple Global feature is included at no additional charge with Temple's T-Mobile plan. This includes free text messaging, unlimited basic 3G data, and .20/min calling in over 215 countries. You do not need to perform any additional setup, as this is on by default. ( Learn more )

International Passes
The $10/day Daily International Pass will auto-deploy when Roaming is turned on, and your cellular phone hits a foreign network that has a partnership with T-Mobile. You do not need to make a request, as this feature is active on all Temple’s cell phones services. You will receive a text message similar to the following notifying you of the deployment:

Great news, your company now covers your travel with a 24-hr Intl Pass. Enjoy 3GB of high-speed data, and unlimited calling/text messaging based on your device. Your new pass auto-renews in 24-hrs.

Wi-Fi calling does not need to be enabled for this to work. While abroad, be sure that roaming and location services are enabled and that you leave your phone powered on to continue receiving the passes every 24 hours.

Notes:

  • Once you use all your high-speed data, you will continue to have unlimited calling and texting for the entire day with unlimited 3G data transfer speeds.
  • Speeds and coverage vary based on device and country.
  • International passes provide unlimited free calling and texting between 215+ destinations and free Wi-Fi calling.
  • When calling some countries, you may hear an automated message prompting you to enter a random digit between 0 and 9 to complete the call. This extra step is designed to help prevent fraud, and is only needed when calling specific international locations.

Going on a Cruise?
Coverage and rates on cruise ships can vary depending on the cruise line and can be expensive if you do not sign up for the service provided by the cruise line ( see details ). In general, we recommend using Wi-Fi calling whenever possible.
