In order to update Option 1 and Broadcast messages on the Genesys Cloud application we must first login to the Genesys Cloud Architect platform at https://apps.mypurecloud.com/architect. If you do not have permissions to access the Architect platform email hdmods@temple.edu.
Once you create the audio message on the Genesys Cloud Prompts Manager using the instructions below, you can update the Option 1 System Status.
Creating Audio Messages for Option 1/Broadcast:
- Login https://apps.mypurecloud.com/architect
- Mouse over the “Prompts” tab and then click on “User“.

Click on “+Add”

Fill in Information

Click “Create Prompt”
The Create Prompt window appears where you will name your prompt and give it a description. Please use the following naming convention below:
For Option 1: ITS_TSC_Option1_OUTAGENAME_DATE (Example: ITS_TSC_Option1_TUSecureWirelessAlterHallDown_1302020)
For Broadcast: ITS_TSC_Broadcast_OUTAGENAME_DATE (Example: ITS_TSC_Broadcast_NetworkIssue_1302020)

Click on “Add Audio”

Select “Record from browser…”
- Click on “Start Recording”
When finished click on “Stop Recording”
You can preview your recording by clicking the 'Play' button. Keep in mind the microphones are very sensitive when recording so be mindful of your surroundings. The playback will sound crisp and clear, once uploaded it will sound like a normal phone recording instead.

Once the recording is completed click on “Upload”
You can preview what the recording will sound like on the phone system now by clicking on the seconds for the recording and clicking on “Preview” you can also clear the recording and start again with a new recording.
- Click on “OK”
You will now be sent back to the Prompts section and see your new recording listed in the menu. Management will be monitoring this section and deleting old recordings when they are no longer needed.
