SPSS Quick Reference

EMPLOYEES:

Temple administrators, such as business managers and IT support staff, are able to order SPSS licenses for their respective areas. If you are a faculty member, please contact the IT support representative for your department to order the software.

STUDENTS:

• Students can access the SPSS Standard Campus Edition on Temple's central computer lab computers (i.e. TECH Center, HSC TECH Center) and on loaner laptops.
  • If interested in borrowing a laptop, see TECH Center Equipment Loans and Laptop Share.
• The university does not distribute the license for SPSS.
  • Students looking to order SPSS for personal use should look into 3rd party student discount software sites for SPSS, such as Hearne Software.

COLLEGE OF PUBLIC HEALTH STUDENTS: 

• Depending on the courses you are enrolled in, you may be provided with the SPSS license for free. 
  • On the Download site you should see an option for SPSS (CPH).
  • If you believe that you should have access to the free download, but you do not see the option on the Download site, please follow up with your instructor and ask them to complete the CPH - SPSS Access Request form.
