Question

How do I opt in to receive TUalert notifications?

Answer

The TUalert notification system is designed to deliver critical information to our students, faculty and staff in an expedited manner. However, parents can follow ongoing communication, regarding emergency events, over on X at @TempleAlert.

 

Students, employees, and staff please follow the directions below to opt-in TU-Alerts notifications:

  1. Log into TUportal.
  2. Click Manage My Account at the top of the TUportal page.
  3. Click Manage Addresses and Phones.
  4. Review the information listed in the Phone Numbers section.
  5. Make sure you have an entry for Mobile–Personal. TUalert notifications will automatically be sent to that number. To change the number, click the pencil icon to display the edit window. To add a Mobile–Personal phone number, click Add phone.
  6. Once you register your Mobile-Personal, scroll down to 'TUALERT NOTIFICATIONS OPT-IN/OUT' to confirm your phone number is registered for TUalerts.

Temporary work around if you're not receiving alerts: text “TUAlert” to 67283. Users are then opted in for 120 days, but this can be renewed at any time by following the same process.
