Overview

Microsoft Bookings is a scheduling tool included with your Microsoft 365 license that lets people book appointments with you without back-and-forth emails. Personal Bookings integrates directly with your individual Outlook calendar, so there's no separate account, subscription, or approval process needed — unlike third-party tools such as Calendly. It's available to all licensed M365 users today, with no setup request required.

Why use Bookings instead of Calendly?

  • Already included — No additional cost or license request; it's part of your existing Microsoft 365 subscription.
  • Native calendar integration — Syncs directly with your Outlook calendar in real time; no third-party access to your calendar data.
  • Institutionally supported — Fully supported by Cloud Services, unlike external tools which fall outside our support and security review.
  • Data stays in-house — Booking data stays within the Microsoft 365 tenant rather than a third-party vendor's systems.

Getting Started with Personal Bookings

  1. Go to outlook.office.com/bookings or launch Bookings from the Microsoft 365 app launcher.
  2. Select Get it now (first-time setup) to create your personal booking page.
  3. Set your business hours/availability, services (meeting types), and buffer times.
  4. Copy your personal booking page link and share it in your email signature, website, or Teams status.
  5. Appointments booked by others automatically appear on your Outlook calendar.
