Eduroam (Wireless on Campus & Residence Halls)

Tags wireless wifi

What is this Service?

Temple University provides secure wireless Internet access through the eduroam network, available in all university buildings (including residence halls) and most outdoor campus areas. The eduroam network offers 24/7 access (except during maintenance or outages), supports Print on the Go, and allows Temple users to connect at participating universities worldwide using their Temple credentials.

Who is Eligible to use it?

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, authorized guests, and visitors from other eduroam-participating institutions.

How do I use it?

Connect to the eduroam network using your full Temple email address (AccessNet@temple.edu) and password. To get started, view connection instructions in the related 'Wireless On Campus' or watch the Wireless on Campus setup video. Students in residence halls with gaming consoles or streaming devices should connect to turesnetextra, which is designed for devices that don’t support secure network authentication.

Cost and Limitations

  • Wireless access is free and available campus-wide.
  • Wired Ethernet is not available in residence halls.

  • On-site wireless surveys and physical installation of access points are handled separately.
