Student Technology Assistance Application (STAA)

What is this Offering? 

In collaboration with Student Affairs, ITS provides semester-based laptop loaners for students with financial need. Students complete an application on TUportal that is reviewed by Student Affairs for need and if approved, creates a support request that is fulfilled by the OWLtech store.

Cost and Limitations

  • Coordinate with ITS teams to build out and support the custom workflow delivered in TUportal. 
  • Provide recommendations to Student Affairs on restrictions and fulfillment options for the loaner laptops.
  • Communicate with approved students the pickup, return and usage requirements of all loaned equipment.
  • Appropriately escalate issues of student non-compliance or non-communication when in possession of a loaner device.
  • ITS does not participate in the approval process.
