What is this Service? 

OneDrive is Temple’s cloud‑storage solution in Microsoft 365. It works on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS*, and Android* and has a full web interface. Store, sync, and share files with classmates, coworkers, and external collaborators. OneDrive is approved for restricted data—including files that contain Protected Health Information (PHI)—provided you follow University data‑security guidelines.

How do I use it?

  1. Sign in at onedrive.office.com with your Temple email, or open the OneDrive app on your computer/phone.
  2. Drag files into OneDrive to back them up and access them from any device.
  3. Click Share to send a link to people inside or outside Temple and set view/edit permissions.

Cost and Limitations

  • Included in Microsoft 365 - no charge to eligible users.
  • Storage caps: 1 TB for students, faculty, and staff
  • When storing PHI or other sensitive data, you must apply the required access controls and follow University policy.
  • OneDrive sync app requires current Windows 10/11 or macOS 11+; older systems must use the web interface.
