Laptop Share Kiosks

What is this Offering?

Laptop Share Kiosks are self-service stations that allow students to borrow a university laptop for up to four hours. Kiosks are conveniently located across Main Campus, Ambler, and Center City, and laptops can be returned to any kiosk with an available slot. These laptops come preloaded with essential academic software and are automatically reset after each use to protect user privacy.

Who is Eligible to use it?

This service is available to all current Temple University students. Borrowers must agree to the kiosk system’s terms and conditions prior to checkout and are responsible for the care and timely return of the device. Departments requesting a kiosk are responsible for related infrastructure and ongoing costs.

How do I use it?/How do I Request it?

Laptops can be returned to any kiosk on campus with an open bay. Devices are wiped automatically upon return using Deep Freeze technology to remove personal data. Installed software includes Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, SPSS, SAS, Audacity, and standard web browsers.
