What is this Offering? 

Google Workspace (formerly Google Apps) is a suite of cloud-based tools that support coursework, collaboration, and communication across Temple University. It includes access to services like Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Groups, and Google Chat (formerly Hangouts).

Students, faculty, staff, and first-year alumni can create, share, and collaborate on documents in real time — from any device, anywhere. Each eligible user receives 3GB of storage in Google Drive.

The service includes:
    •    Account provisioning and license management
    •    Role-based access (faculty, students, staff)
    •    Secure cross-platform access
    •    Helpdesk support for service issues

Who is Eligible to use it?

Students (including first-year alumni), Faculty, Staff, and authorized guests

How do I use it?

To access Google Workspace:
    1.    Log in to TUportal
    2.    Click the red TUapplications tab
    3.    Under Quick Links, click Google Workspace (Google Apps)

Cost and Limitations

 Cost: There is no additional cost for eligible users.

  • No guarantees during unexpected service outages
  • No development of custom applications
  • No support for hardware or device-related issues
