AccessNet Account

What is this Service? 

AccessNet provides you with a single Temple username + password that unlocks key university systems—such as TUportal, TUmail, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, library databases, and Canvas—based on your Temple role.

Who is Eligible to use it?

Current Students, faculty, and staff
Others with limited access:

  • Prospective students (undergraduate & graduate)
  • Retirees & Emeritus/Emerita faculty
  • Alumni
  • Guests (e.g., visiting scholars, contractors, volunteers, TUHS employees)

How do I use it?

  • New Faculty & Staff - An account is created automatically ≈24 hrs after HR processes your paperwork; watch for the email.
  • Retirees & Emeritus/Emerita Faculty - Your AccessNet account stays active automatically.
  • Alumni - See the Alumni website for account details.
  • Guests - A Temple sponsor submits the Guest Access Request form in TUportal. 
  • Non-Degree Seeking Students - Follow the instructions on the Temple Bulletin Non-Degree Seeking Students page.

Activate or manage your account using your 9 digit TUid number by pressing the buttons on the right hand side or following the directions below:

  1. Visit accounts.temple.edu.
  2. First-time users: click Activate AccessNet account and follow the prompts.
  3. Existing users: log in to change your password or reset security questions or press I cannot log in

Cost and Limitations

  • Access varies by role (see System Access by University Enterprise Role grid).
  • Passwords expire periodically; you’ll receive email reminders.
  •  Guest accounts are time-bound and must be sponsored by an eligible Temple employee.
  • Misuse or sharing of credentials violates university policy and may result in suspension.
