Grammarly is a digital writing tool that helps users improve their writing. It offers suggestions for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, tone, and more. Grammarly also detects plagiarism and offers suggestions for replacing identified errors.

A cloud-based typing assistant that reviews spelling, grammar, punctuation, clarity, engagement, and delivery mistakes in English texts, detects plagiarism, and suggests replacements for the identified errors.

Eligibility

Available to faculty and staff with an annual subscription that is renewable each year on February 23.

Charges

$70.00 annually per license.

Obtaining the Software

Use TUmarketplace to order the software by selecting the Computer Business Services punchout under Showcased Suppliers. Note that access to TUmarketplace is limited, so your departmental administrator may need to do this.

Assuming you do have access to TUmarketplace, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to TUportal.
  2. Under TUapplications , go to TUmarketplace.
  3. Under Showcased Suppliers , click the Computer Business Services punchout.
  4. Search for Grammarly, click Add to Cart and then View Cart.
  5. Click Proceed to Checkout.
  6. Post a comment or an internal note with the required information, including the name and AccessNet username for each person receiving a license and click Place Order.

Once you are notified that your order is approved, go to www.grammarly.com and sign in using your Temple AccessNet email address (e.g. tuz00000@temple.edu) and password.
