Description: The service is used to recruit and engage with participants in a Temple University research study. After consenting to receive SMS messages as described in the Consent section below, you will receive one or more messages containing instructions for how to participate in the study. These messages may include a link to download an app, if applicable to the study.

Eligibility: SMS messages will only be sent with your express consent (see below).

Consent: You will receive an initial SMS message introducing the study and identifying the sender as the Temple University research team. The message will explain that participation is voluntary. Reply “YES” if you consent to receive SMS messages containing instructions for participating in the study. You will not receive any more messages from us unless you reply “YES” to the initial message.

Opt-Out: All SMS messages will include instructions for opting out (e.g. “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”). You may opt out of SMS communications at any time.

Message Frequency: Messages will be sent as needed for the purposes of the study in which you enrolled.
