TUSafe Mobile App

What is this Product? 

The TUSafe mobile application is a centralized safety tool for the Temple University community, offering access to Public Safety emergency communication features. Key features include a panic button that connects to either Temple Public Safety or 911 depending on the user’s location, tip submission, Virtual Walkhome, Friend Walk, walking escort requests, and campus safety maps. Alumni and external users may download the app but will have limited access to features.

Students, Faculty, Staff, Administration, Alumni, Authorized Guests, External Users (with limited functionality)

How do I use it?

The TUSafe mobile application can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. 

Cost and Limitations

  • There is no cost associated with downloading or using the TUSafe mobile application.
  • Accounts are provisioned for Public Safety dispatchers and officers who require access to monitor and respond to requests made through the app.
  • Accounts are also provisioned for Public Safety personnel who need access to reports generated by TUSafe.
  • Support is provided for modifying graphics and text in the application as needed.
  • Technical and operational issues are supported either directly or through coordination with AppArmor.
  • Emergency notifications sent through the TUalert system are not included in the scope of this service.
  • Certain features, including the panic button, Virtual Walkhome, and Walking Escort requests, are only functional when the user is within the Temple University Public Safety patrol zones. Communication parameters and feature availability are defined within the app itself.
