Support for University Owned Printer

What is this Offering? 

ITS provides various levels of support for local/network non-HP MPS devices.

Scope

  • Make recommendations to EISM-supported departments when purchasing non-HP MPS printers.
  • Provision, manage, and troubleshoot printers purchased by EISM-supported departments.
  • Verify printers are operational by updating drivers on endpoints as need.
  • For network printers within scope, provision network connectivity.
  • Recommend replacement toner cartridges and switch cartridges.
  • Does not include resolving hardware issues. 
  • If an issue is identified to be hardware-related, departments are responsible for provisioning repairs.
  • Support is limited to printers still supported by the manufacturer for current Windows and macOS operating systems.
