Purchasing Pre Approval

What is this Service? 

Purchasing Pre Approval is a required process for anyone who plans to purchase software or other services. The Pre Approval requires that information is provided about the item being purchased and how it will be used. There are 4 primary areas that assess the purchase: ADA, ITS, Information Security and Marketing. In line with Purchasing, if all the areas approve the request, the person can proceed to submit their quote to TUMarketplace.

Scope

  • Manages a form with questions about the purchase
  • Provides users with the ability to see their historical requests
  • Provides the ability to create a PDF that is then attached to TUMarketplace
  • Provides a workflow to route the request in tandem to ITS, InfoSec, ADA and MArketing
  • Provides Admin features for the app owners (Purchasing)
  • Does not include  integration to TUMarketplace
  • Does not include integration to Banner
