Xtender - Banner Document Management

What is this Product? 

Xtender - Banner Document Management is an offering that ties documents to the faculty, staff, and student data in Ellucian Banner.  It provides a central source for documents tied to a Banner record.   This is particularly helpful for student records including transcripts where multiple departments need the ability to view the documents.

Scope

  • Provides a central repository for documents.
  • Provides  a mechanism to bulk ingest the documents into the repository and tie to a Banner record
  • Provides the ability to index the documents to allow search capabilities based on the indexed data
  • Provides document level security based on working groups
  • Provides document document security based on fine grain access control from Banner.  This includes fund, org, and eclass level security.
  • Provides cloud scanning services and pre indexing
  • Provides native text search capabilities for PDF documents
  • Integrates with custom application and workflows presented on TUportal
  • Does not include integration to Microsoft products.
