HP PIN Printing (also known as Secure or Job Storage printing) is a security feature that holds a print job in the printer's memory until you physically walk to the machine and enter a custom PIN. This prevents sensitive or confidential documents from sitting unattended in the output tray and safeguards university data.

Note: If you are trying to print something to a Managed HP MPS Device that contains any SENSITIVE or CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION and are unable to configure PIN printing. DO NOT PRINT, and please call the Technology Support Center or your dedicated support staff for assistance.

If your work processes require you to handle sensitive or confidential data, please configure your default printer settings to require PIN printing. Enabling this setting at the OS level ensures that all application print jobs (e.g., M365, Adobe, and browsers) require a secure PIN release.

*Please Note, once you set a PIN per application, all print jobs (public, sensitive, and confidential) will use the set PIN to print from that application.
